Title says it...
So, I worship by doing one of several things... I sing and/or dance for my goddess, Bast (also known as Bastet) with bells on my ankles and wrists... I pray to her... I'll dedicate something to her, be it water, chocolate, a candle, etc and then use it in her honor (This sometimes includes consuming the items in question, should they be edible, or giving them to somebody who -will- consume them, as waste is never a good thing) ... Sometimes when I make jewelry for myself or my god to wear, I'll make it by moonlight so she can see what I'm doing and, if she likes it, bestow it with her energy. (it's worked so far!)
That's how I worship my goddess, who is ethereal. My god, on the other hand... very, very physical. His name is Loki, and he is my boyfriend. (WARNING: if you are not mature enough to handle anything sexual in any way, shape or form without snickering like a childish pervert, you shouldn't be here ya creeper!) So, I worship him in all sorts of ways... there's the obvious way of worship, which is sex.... and then I'll share energies with him - loving, caring, all of those sorts of energies, as well as general positive (and he shares with me in return, yay!) ... I make jewelry for him sometimes... hold him, hug him, kiss him, hold his hand... run my fingers up and down his skin... light a candle for him... every once in a blue moon I'll anoint him....and I speak my heart to him every time we're with each other (Read: I tell him how much I love and adore him, how lucky I am to have him, pay him compliments for any of several reasons, etc etc) ... I can't wait until we draw the god and goddess down. That's gonna be a fun experience. =)
ok, as far as protective things, this is what I've found so far that works:
1) Imagining oneself surrounded in blinding white light is absolutely amazing for when you're frightened or under psychic attack. It really helps me feel at-ease and comforted.
2) Dome-o-mirrors! Imagine a dome around you, from about a foot above your head to the ground. I often combine this with the blinding white light, putting this one up first and letting the light not only blind others, but intensify upon itself through the mirrors. (I have them facing both outward and inward; reflect negative energies outward, reflect positive energies inward to help both my overall well being and feed the blinding white light that leaks from between the mirrors.)
3) Angel wings! This one really helps me when I'm depressed. I feel safe, secure, and loved inside of those protective wings when everything else fails. Like I'm being held close by my god, who always makes me feel the same way with just his arms. Pretty amazing, if you ask me.
4) Amulets galore! I don't carry many of them. In fact, there's really only two that I wear on a daily basis, and that's my equal-armed cross around my neck and my 'meow' centerpiece on my bracelet. The latter of the two is charged with my goddess' protective energies and moonrays so I will never walk into anything blindly, and my equal-armed cross is charged with energy from my god. Those energies are for protection, and love. He stored a little bit of his love energy inside just for when I'm not feeling so hot or my complex is playing tricks with me again. Pretty sweet! Other amulets I have include a cross made for me by hand by a now deceased woman who was Russian Orthodox (may she rest in peace) ... it has power, mostly, but a little bit of protection. I have another necklace, one that has the symbol for "tiger", which is my chinese zodiac as well as one of my protectors... it holds courage, hope, a feeling of being self-sufficient, and just that tiny bit of protection... and a giant amethyst nugget that can be carried in my pocket. That serves as a container for any sort of energy is put into it, be it moonbeams, courage, protection, or just general purpose for a pick-me-up later.
Have anything to add or have something for me to try out? Toss me a comment and I'll take a look at it!
Blessed be,
SNT
