Working with energy can be a daunting thing. It is something that one cannot see, and it does not have a physical form so one cannot touch it in the normal sense. However, it is like air - it is everywhere around us, flowing in and out of us, without many even knowing that it's going on.
Have you ever noticed a time when you were tired, but then you heard a particular song or set of songs and you were not tired or hyper? That is because your body took energy from it's environment without consulting you first. Tricky little things, aren't they?
Everything has energy. What kind of energy is another matter altogether, but everything has energy. Even if you want to get scientific about it, energy can be given or taken from atoms by moving electrons closer or father away from the nucleus.
Music falls under the category of "everything" by simply existing. Music carries energy! If you feel tired, put on some of your favorite music and just listen. I recommend something that is fast-paced, but that's what works best for me. Genre's like techno and pop appeal to me in that sense, and it's just good music. As for artists, I'd point you toward Ke$ha, Cascada, and Subsonik.
If you're outside and have no access to music you can draw from your surroundings, too! Focus on your breathing. Breathe in fresh, positive energy, and exhale negative energy. Imagine it filling your lungs and being distributed through your body via your circulatory system. Works for me! Or if you are near a tree, place your hand on it and focus on your breathing again. As you breathe in, picture positive energy flowing into you through your hand, up your arm, and to your heart, where your circulation takes over from there. When you go to exhale, keep the negative energies going out of your respiratory system. Nobody likes having negativity directed toward them, and trees are living beings - they are no exception to that statement.
I will note, however, that I have had no formal training in a recognized coven at all. I was in one while I lived in Oklahoma, however they loved to throw negative energy at people and were very consequence-oriented. I would consider 95% of what we did dark magick. If something doesn't seem right to you, don't use it and PLEASE inform me so I can change it. I don't want anyone hurt by any action or word of mine.
Blessed be,
Sasha NT
